Information Collection and Use
While using any of Harland Clarke’s sites (for the purposes of this Internet Privacy Statement, any Harland Clarke site will be termed a “Site”), you (“User”) may be required to enter non-public personal information. Your financial institution is the owner of account holder information, which is provided to Harland Clarke to fulfill orders for checks and other products. All information described above is confidential and Harland Clarke will not sell, share, rent, or provide this information to anyone for purposes other than those described in this statement.

Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the User’s computer hard drive containing information about the User. Harland Clarke’s Site is not capable of using the cookies on a User’s computer for the purposes of identifying the User. Cookies are used only for the purposes of storing temporary information so that, for example, the User will only have to log in once while on Harland Clarke’s Site. Once the User closes the browser, the cookie created while browsing the Harland Clarke Site terminates. If a User rejects the cookie by having the function turned off in the browser settings, the User can still use Harland Clarke’s Site. In that case, though, the User may be limited in some areas of Harland Clarke’s Site.

Log Files
Harland Clarke uses IP addresses to administer the Site, track page views and the click-through activity of links, and gather broad information for internal use. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information. For certain applications, which have audit requirements, a unique userid and password are necessary. In order to ensure audit controls are enforced, Harland Clarke will log and track the userid while on our site.

Links
A Site may contain links to other sites. Please be aware that Harland Clarke is not responsible for the privacy practices of sites not managed or maintained by Harland Clarke. Security
Harland Clarke’s Site is designed with numerous precautions to protect Users’ and account holder information. User and account holder information is appropriately protected internally as well as online.

Only those Harland Clarke employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, Harland Clarke’s billing department or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. All employees of Harland Clarke are kept up-to-date on its security and privacy practices. Whenever new policies are added, Harland Clarke’s employees are notified and reminded of the importance it places on consumer privacy. Finally, the servers in which Harland Clarke stores personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment, currently certified by TruSecure®, an Internet security solutions service.
